Your agent will take care of most of this process on your behalf. They will schedule photos, videos, virtual tours, marketing depending on their services offered. 

You will be required to sign a few documents to legally sell your property. Depending on the type of property (Residential, farm, commercial, etc) will determine which documents you will need to sign. Your agent will walk you through this whole process. 

Once you have signed, you’re ready to List! Photography will be completed, and a sign will be installed on your house. 

You do have the option of having your property on MLS (Multiple Listing Service) or listing it as Exclusive, but what’s the difference?

MLS: Everyone will be able to see your house for sale. It’s available on all channels and filtered through thousands of websites automatically. This will allow the highest amount of traffic possible to your properties information. Other realtors will be able to access information given by your agent automatically.

Exclusive: You will not be listing on the MLS system, but you still have your house for sale. You can either choose to have just your agent sell and show this property (for highest level of privacy) or you can allow other agents to view, however it will not be on the general public sites. The only way another agent will know about your property being for sale is if your agent personally tells them.
